UPDATE: Puddles and Ponds is now available online.

I have received many emails from readers asking for a summer unit to go along with the Seasonal Curriculum Units I have already created. I am happy to announce that we have now added a new unit Puddles and Ponds to our Free Homeschool Companion Guides.

There is not a printable PDF version available at this time, I may at some point in the future update it, but in the meantime you can use the unit by copying the pages and pasting them into a word document.

Bless your dear heart! I've used your other curriculum guides this year and they have been great. I was hoping your would do a summer one, and you are. I can't believe you just give these away. So many people sell everything. We are on a very tight budget, so this is so helpful to us. Good bless you dear, sweet ladies. You are gem!

Thank you so much! I just ordered the materials for the spring curriculum and will be starting that soon with my daughter. I had been wondering if there would ever be a summer curriculum and was delightfully surprised to see this post on your site this morning. I also appreciate that you make this material free. You are so generous and it's a huge help to our family. I have made many of your craft projects over the past few years and am so looking forward to using your preschool curriculum to begin our homeschool journey.

Thank you for this! We love your other units and have just embarked on Ponds - perfect since my older children are studying ponds at our local nature conservation area at the same time! My youngest is thrilled to have his own "Schoolwork" complete with science experiments! Much appreciated.

I just wanted to add to the comments above by saying thank you so much for offering these for free! I know there is a lot of time and commitment that goes into these sort of things and it is very much appreciated. We are on a tight budget and it's so great to see someone out there willing to take the time and effort to make a a great curriculum that can be used for families on a budget. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for this wonderful, thoughtful plan! I just started Puddles and Ponds with my son today. He is only three but loves to read so we are sticking to the simpler end of your schedule. He got hold of one of the books ahead of time and since then has been playing "thunder and lightening" and telling us that lightening is dangerous and that we would be safe inside a car! We've also read Kapiti Plain a half-dozen times today! We look forward to starting with Harvest Time in the fall, again keeping things simple. I did purchase my books through your links on Amazon. Thanks so much for sharing! All the best to you!

I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying the unit. We always love to hear how others are using the units and enjoy seeing pictures on our readers' blogs or on our flickr page if you would like to share. Have a wonderful summer!

The "Summer Curriculum" still does not have a PDF file? it has been over 2 years. I personally can not do the copy/paste from the IPad, my computer went down and I need a PDF file. In the middle of moving/in between places.. And all, I found your site and wanted to follow the curriculum. For Science/Social Studys, but I can't if there is no summer Curiculum. I can not start something and not be able to finish it.. I have OCD and to me it is incomplete, until I get summer. :( you said you were going to do a PDF file for summer, but there does not seem to be one and it has been well over two years. To me it seems as if you may have abandoned your website because of this, if you are still around please fix that.. If you can. thank You!!!!! :)

The summer program is an add on unit and was not part of the original series. The three completed units (Harvest Time, Winter Wonderland, and Spring Bs) count as the full school year. You do not need to do the summer program... so it is not an incomplete year. These programs are available free online and were written up as I was doing them with my kids. I do not have plans at this time to provide a PDF for the summer program.  Maybe at some point in the future but I have no estimation of when. Maybe you can get a friend to print it for you or just use it online. Please remember, these are FREE. If this doesn't work for you, you may want to look into purchasing a complete program from a curriculum provider.
